Ecology.Design.Synergy Exhibition – Opening Speech

See the opening speech by Stefan Behnisch (Behnisch Architekten) and Thomas Auer (Transsolar KlimaEngineering) of the previously mentioned exhibition “Ecology.Design.Synergy” on environmentally responsive architecture that is currently at the MaRS Centre in Toronto. “The future of our planet depends on innovative and sustainable thinking—this presents contemporary architecture with a particular challenge: what we build today, and the way we build it, will help to determine the future. Along with the opening of the exhibition, we begin our lecture & panel series with the same title, organised in collaboration with OCAD & the MaRS Centre.”

thanks for posting this.

i’ve been a huge fan of auer’s for the last decade, he recently gave a lecture here in seattle that was attended by maybe 20 people. you’d think in a region that covets ‘green’ – this would have been a highly attended event.
