Common Carbon Metric -Protocol for Measuring Energy Use and Reporting Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Building Operations

This latest brochure by UNEP Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative on Common Carbon Metric was recently published: Common Carbon Metric -Protocol for Measuring Energy Use and Reporting Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Building Operations- Version for pilot testing- 2010.
“The purpose of this proposal for a Common Carbon Metric & Protocol is to support greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions through accurate measurement of energy efficiency improvements in building operations. Goal: To provide globally applicable common metrics for measuring and reporting the energy use in and GHG emissions from existing building operations to support international, regional, national, and local policy development and industry initiatives.”
